See the difference that a more circular economy can make
What is the circular economy?
The term “circular economy” has been gaining traction socially, politically and in business. At its core, the circular economy model is based on three principles: design out waste and pollution; keep products and materials in use; and regenerate natural systems.
Why is a circular economy important?
For a long time, the world’s economy has been ‘Linear’. Simply meaning that we use raw materials, turn them into a product and dispose of them via traditional methods such as landfill or incineration. This take-make-waste economy saps natural resources, threatens the survival of species, fills soil and water with toxins and dangerously warms the Earth.
As the global population has grown, countries have identified the negative environmental impact of having a single-use approach. The demands on natural resources have increased and competition for rare minerals has intensified. This has meant that the linear process has become outdated and a transition to the circular economy has become a necessity.
Ultimately, the circular economy is not purely a concept. It’s happening already and it makes good business sense. As well as creating new opportunities for growth, a more circular economy reduces waste, drives greater resource productivity, delivers a more competitive economy, and helps reduce the environmental impacts of production and consumption.

In what ways does TXO operate as a circular economy company?
We think the circular economy model is a superb guiding principle for all that we do. We also get how important the circular economy and the associated sustainability benefits are to you too.
Buying equipment from the secondary telecoms market is an increasingly popular route for anyone managing a network. Here at TXO we are well stocked with quality used telecom network equipment at an affordable price point. It means that functional products stay in circulation and out of landfill, supporting current platforms and extending the life cycle of legacy systems.
The circular economy services we provide ensure there is a thriving market for used network equipment and a sustainable alternative to buying brand new products. We support customers by cataloguing and managing their inventory. We de-install and collect obsolete equipment, refurbishing whenever possible for reuse. Where equipment cannot be refurbished, we ensure disposal according to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive.
As a circular economy company, we embrace every opportunity to eliminate waste and support continual use of resources. Each year, well over half a million telecoms parts are sustainably acquired, redeployed, resold and recycled by our team. And our multi-vendor telecom repair service completes the circular economy loop.
