Our community & charity partnerships
Meet our community & charity partners of the year
We’re incredibly proud of our support for charities and the communities we live and work in. Each year we empower our employees to support charities and community causes that mean something special to them and enter into partnerships with organisations that reflect our key values. Learn more about each of our partnerships and the exceptional work they do.

The Charlie Taylor Jay Foundation
Less than 2 miles away from our Solihull offices, there’s a dedicated team of volunteers running workshops and enrichment activities for the kids of the community. With a focus on supporting mental health and wellbeing, we were keen to lend a hand.
Why would you like TXO’s support?
Hi, I’m Stephanie James the Customer Operations Manager for MMX (part of the TXO group). You might not know this about me but I’m also a founding member and Vice-Chair of The Charlie Taylor Jay Foundation, formerly established in 2018. We fund youth work focusing on 10 to 16 year olds in Cheswick Green, less than 2 miles away from MMX’s Solihull offices.

We would love to become one of TXO’s community & charity partners of the year. With your support we’ll be able to run a number of horse therapy sessions for the children in the autumn, aimed specifically at dealing with anxiety. It will be done in groups of 10 by trained professionals at our local stables.
About The Charlie Taylor Jay Foundation
Our foundation was born from the tragic loss of Charlie, a 15 year old from our village, on 4th November 2017 and our aim is that by providing more support, understanding, and education this will never happen again. We consist purely of volunteers and our main focus has and always will be the mental health and wellbeing of our community’s youth.
The foundation self-funds and runs the CGM Youth Club, which is held on Friday evenings in our Village Hall. We hold workshops and enrichment activities for the kids of the community, focusing on issues the youth of today face including anxiety, self-harm and knife crime. We hold football training sessions, self-defence sessions, provide lots of different arts and crafts materials, have food tasting prepared by our volunteer chef, bring in special guests to talk to the kids, play games and try and engage the kids as well as educate them.
As we are self-funded, we are continually looking to raise funds to keep our youth club running. Although as volunteers we give our time freely, there are still running costs and equipment purchases required. We are hugely grateful for any donations we receive, whether that be money, equipment, or someone’s time.

Life ONG
We’re a company that acts in an environmentally conscious way in everything we do, so pairing up with Life ONG and the Sapousse tree planting program makes total sense. By planting 100s of trees we will continue our action to save our planet and leave a lasting legacy.
Why would you like TXO’s support?
I’m Mahdi Bribech and as TXO’s Accounts Director for France & Africa, it’s really important to me that we’re doing all we can to support good causes in the places we live and work. LIFE ONG’s tree planting initiave makes a lot of sense for our environmentally-friendly approach and it’s great to think that the 100s of trees we’ll plant will continue to do good for future generations.

About LIFE ONG
LIFE ONG is a Non-Governmental Organization, created in 2009 with the aim of providing effective aid to the most vulnerable populations in France and around the world.
The Sapousse program is a plantation project that promotes reforestation while providing local populations with a means of subsistence. This is called the economic tree. And a lasting act of charity. Plant trees online, and LIFE plants them immediately in the field!
Together, we can fight deforestation and leave a positive imprint on the world!

Welsh blood service
We’re thrilled to be supporting the Welsh Blood Service as one of our community & charity partners of the year. When we heard from Andy Martin (our Service Sales Manager) about the fantastic work they do, we couldn’t wait to get involved.
Why would you like TXO’s support?
I started out donating blood in my early twenties, and around 2014 I was asked if I would consider donating platelets. The main differences really are instead of donating a pint of whole blood in approximately 20-25 minutes, a platelet donation can be either a single, double, or triple depending on your platelet count, and can last a maximum of 90 mins (just like a game of football!). I can also donate every 3-4 weeks, whereas for whole blood you might only donate 3-4 times a year.

For platelets, blood is drawn through a needle and transferred to a machine that separates the platelets from your blood and your blood is safely returned back to you.
I’ve never had an amazing story or personal connection as to why I give blood. However, I have also stuck to the belief that I give quite simply because I can, in that I’m lucky to be generally of good health where others are not so fortunate.
I would love for TXO to raise awareness of the importance of giving blood.
About the Welsh Blood Service
The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) covers the whole of Wales and is the equivalent of NHS Blood and Transplant in England. It collects voluntary, non-remunerated blood donations from the general public. The Welsh Transplantation & Immunogenetics Laboratory, within the WBS, provides direct support to local providers of Renal and Stem Cell Transplant Services. It also operates a national panel of unrelated potential blood stem cell donors – the Welsh Bone Marrow Donor Registry.
