TXO’s compatible optical transceivers have a lifetime of anything up to 15 years. Therefore where possible they should be reused where they remain functional. To support this, our customers are able to re-sell, loan or give away their products freely to another party after use. In some cases, we can recode your transceivers in order to extend their lifespan. Fees and restrictions may apply for this service.

Where the product has reached the end of its useful life it should be considered to be Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). As such this material is subject to separate collection and treatment in EU member states and also in Norway and Switzerland. For this reason our products are marked with the crossed out wheelie bin symbol. The treatment applied at end of life of TXO’s products in these countries must comply with the applicable national laws of countries observing Directive 2002/96EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

By following this guidance, we all do our bit towards reducing e-waste and minimising our environmental impact. Here you can learn more about improving resource efficiency and supporting the growth of the circular economy.
