About the Nokia 7360 Intelligent Service Access Manager
The Nokia 7360 ISAM (Intelligent Services Access Manager) FX is a powerful, flexible, and highly reliable networking platform produced by Finnish multinational telecoms company, Nokia. Designed as a high-capacity access node for modern day service providers, the Nokia 7360 ISAM can provide ultra-fast broadband access to many users whilst supporting IPv4, IPv6, and MPLS with a high level of QoS, in a fast and cost-effective way. With a large range of interface types, it also utilises a modular design making the Nokia 7360 ISAM FX the perfect choice for any network environment.
The Nokia 7360 ISAM FX, features three separate shelf sizes to choose from. The FX 4, FX 8, and FX 16, which have four, eight or sixteen slots respectively. This gives network operators high levels of flexibility when deciding how and where each unit is deployed. This high level of flexibility makes it suitable for deployment in both a central office and plant cabinet environment, as well as more remote locations.
Capable of supporting high-speed internet access, cloud-based applications and advanced mobile services, the Nokia 7360 ISAM is a multi-functional platform that helps to deliver a wide range of services from basic voice and data connectivity to IP-based streaming media, cloud computing and advanced IoT (Internet of Things) applications. Its ability to provide multiple functions in one platform makes the Nokia 7360 ISAM the perfect solution for network operators that need to offer multiple services whilst maximising space.
Each Line Termination (LT) slot in the Nokia 7360 FX ISAM, is supported by a dual 100GB/s non blocking high capacity backplane connection meaning it supports high capacity bandwidth throughput per slot. It also supports VDSL2 with vectoring over existing copper, GPON, EPON (with DPoE), 10G PON and point-to-point services. This highly versatile platform has been designed so that it can deploy access technology throughout any location in the network, as well as being integrated easily into existing network setups including small community-based networks or large-scale national deployment.
Originally produced as the Alcatel Lucent 7360 ISAM FX, the platform began to be manufactured under the Nokia brand after Nokia acquired Alcatel-Lucent in 2016.
