What is a QSFP+ optical transceiver?
QSFP+ optical transceivers, also known as quad small form factor plus pluggables, are compact, hot-pluggable modules used for data communications applications. Commonly used in the data centre to interface hardware to fibre, QSFP+ optical transceivers support four 10 Gbit/sec channels carrying 10G Ethernet, 10G Fibre Channel, or QDR InfiniBand. The 4 channels can also be combined into a single 40G Ethernet link.
