At TXO, we’re proud of the steps we’re taking to ensure we meet the highest standards for sustainability, safety, and quality.
Over the past few months, we’ve completed several important audits with BSI (The British Standards Institution), covering our ISO 9001 and TL 9000 quality management, ISO 14001 environmental, ISO 45001 health and safety and ISO 27001 information security certifications.
These audits were carried out at our operations in Chepstow, France, Sweden, and Australia and we’re excited to share our journey so far.
Celebrating success
We’re pleased to share that all four audits were a success. Our teams have worked hard to achieve these certifications, and they reflect our commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability.
It’s always rewarding to hear positive feedback, especially from independent auditors. They were impressed with our teams, processes, and overall approach, and we take great pride in knowing that our hard work is paying off.
- ISO 9001 is a globally recognised standard for quality management, helping us enhance customer satisfaction, motivate our teams, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- TL 9000 takes this a step further by tailoring the ISO 9001 standards to meet the specific needs of the telecom sector, ensuring we comply with industry requirements.
- ISO 14001 is a globally recognised standard for environmental management, helping us manage our environmental impact, reduce waste, and optimise resource use. It enables us to continually improve our environmental performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- ISO 45001 focuses on occupational health and safety, providing a framework to identify and manage risks, protect the well-being of our employees, and create a culture of safety. This certification ensures that we meet high safety standards, providing a safer and healthier work environment for all.
- ISO 27001 is the information security standard recognised globally and enables us to ensure that we keep our own and third party data secure within our infrastructure, both physical and logical, at all times.
These certifications are a testament to our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards across all areas of our business.
We’re also thrilled to have earned a gold rating from EcoVadis for our CSR (corporate social responsibility) efforts. This rating highlights our focus on environmentally conscious development and responsible business practices.
The importance of BSI
The British Standards Institution (BSI) plays a critical role in helping organisations like TXO meet global standards for sustainability, quality, and safety. With BSI, we’re able to ensure that our certifications are not just a reflection of meeting specific requirements, but also a commitment to continuous improvement. BSI’s rigorous audits offer impartial, third-party validation, providing us with the confidence that we’re on the right path and always working to elevate our standards. This partnership is key in allowing us to maintain the trust of our customers, partners, and stakeholders as we build towards a more sustainable future.
What’s next: Areas for improvement
Of course, no journey is without its areas for growth. The audits did highlight five minor non-conformities that we’ll be addressing. Specifically, we’ll be focusing on improving how we report our ESG (environmental, social, and governance) data, fine-tuning how we track our business objectives, and strengthening our legal registers in Sweden and Australia. This isn’t new to us, as similar feedback came from our France audit back in January, so we’re already working on solutions and engaging with experts to ensure we get it right in Sweden and Australia as well. These areas for improvement show that, while we’ve made great strides, we understand that there’s always more to do to improve our practices and help drive positive change across all areas of our business.
A truly global operation
TXO’s reach extends across every continent, with operations in the UK, Sweden, France, Australia, Brazil, USA and more. This global footprint allows us to apply the same rigorous sustainability, quality, and safety standards across all our locations, no matter where we operate. Our international presence is key to helping us meet the diverse needs of our customers, while maintaining consistency in our approach. Whether we’re working with clients in telecommunications, transportation, or other sectors, we ensure that all of our teams, no matter the country, are aligned with TXO’s core values.
Learning and growing through our expansions
As we expand through acquisitions, there’s so much for us to learn from each other. Our recent acquisitions, such as MMX, Teqport, Lynx, and Airway, have brought new expertise, knowledge, and ideas into our group. We’re committed to fostering collaboration across the board, sharing best practices, and continuing to build a more sustainable, efficient, and innovative future for TXO. These new additions to our family are helping us strengthen our services and reinforce our commitment to continuous improvement.
Looking ahead to continuous improvement
As we continue our journey, we know there’s always room to grow. Our next steps will focus on strengthening our ESG reporting, improving how we track business objectives, and ensuring we’re meeting our customers’ evolving sustainability expectations.
We’re dedicated to helping our customers meet their own sustainability targets too, whether that’s transforming technology for a sustainable future, accelerating their journey to net-zero carbon emissions, or promoting the circular economy through smarter, more efficient practices. As we drive commercial excellence and deepen our environmentally-conscious partnerships, we’re excited about the future and can’t wait to take these next steps with you.
