At the TXO group, we are committed to measuring, managing and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our operations and value chain.
Working in partnership with The Carbon Trust, we continue to strengthen our approach to emissions measurement and reporting, supporting greater transparency, accountability and informed decision-making.
Our long-term objective is to achieve a 5% year-on-year reduction in GHG emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 through to 2030, with progress reviewed annually.
Our greenhouse gas emissions performance
In 2025, the TXO group reported total greenhouse gas emissions of 83,468.08 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e), representing a 43% reduction against our 2023 baseline.
| Emissions scope | 2023 baseline (tCO₂e) | 2025 (tCO₂e) |
|---|---|---|
| Scope 1 | 321.30 | 1,212.23 |
| Scope 2 | 15.67 | 88.05 |
| Scope 3 | 145,077.57 | 82,167.80 |
| Total | 145,414.55 | 83,468.08 |
The overall reduction was driven by lower Scope 3 emissions, which remain the largest contributor to TXO’s carbon footprint.
While Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions increased compared with the baseline, reflecting business growth and portfolio expansion, the Group continued to make progress in reducing its overall reported emissions.
Between 2023 and 2025, the number of portfolio companies within the reporting boundary increased from six to ten.
Our reporting approach
TXO’s GHG inventory covers Scope 1, Scope 2 and material Scope 3 emissions across our operations and value chain.
Emissions are calculated in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, using recognised emissions factors and the most recent available activity data.
Our reporting covers 100% of TXO operations within the defined geographical boundary, with material Scope 3 categories assessed and relevant exclusions documented.
