Our commitment to sustainability

We integrate environmental responsibility into every aspect of our business. By prioritising repair, refurbishment, and reuse, we extend the lifecycle of network equipment, significantly reducing waste and conserving valuable resources. Our dedication to sustainable practices is evident in our efforts to minimise our carbon footprint and promote a circular economy within the technology industry.

Our internal environmental initiatives

  • Renewable energy usage: We have transitioned to 100% renewable electricity in our UK operations, effectively reducing our electrical carbon footprint to zero.
  • Sustainable packaging: By utilising eco-friendly materials such as recyclable cardboard boxes and biodegradable foam inserts, we actively reduce waste and minimise our environmental footprint.
  • Global operations to reduce emissions: Expanding our operations to strategic locations worldwide allows us to offer more sustainable services to our customers, reducing shipping distances and associated CO₂ emissions.
  • ISO 14001 environmental management – We are certified to ISO 14001, ensuring we meet global best practices for environmental management.
  • Gold EcoVadis sustainability rating – TXO has achieved a Gold rating from EcoVadis, placing us in the top 5% of companies worldwide for sustainability excellence.

Through a combination of data-driven reporting and tangible action, we are driving meaningful change in the technology industry and creating sustainable solutions that benefit both our customers and the planet. Partnering with TXO means working with a trusted expert dedicated to reducing environmental impact and supporting businesses in achieving their sustainability goals with confidence.

Our emissions reduction targets

We are committed to cutting our greenhouse gas emissions across all scopes by 5% each year through to 2030, with annual progress reviews.

  • Scope 1: 5% year-on-year reduction
  • Scope 2: 5% year-on-year reduction
  • Scope 3: 5% year-on-year reduction across upstream and downstream emissions

Driving continuous improvement for a low-carbon future.

The TXO Carbon Calculator

To further support our customers’ sustainability efforts, we have developed an industry-first Carbon Calculator. Seamlessly built into our i-TRAC asset management portal and validated by the Carbon Trust, it quantifies the carbon savings from choosing refurbished network equipment and reselling surplus assets.

The TXO Carbon Calculator works by comparing the carbon footprint of brand-new products with the footprint of refurbished equipment. Depending on the category of equipment, businesses can expect carbon savings of up to 93%, compared to purchasing new.

Best of all, environmental savings are displayed alongside financial results, providing a clear, transparent view of your impact. This helps businesses make informed decisions that reduce emissions and drive long-term sustainability.

Many organisations are already seeing tangible results. One telecommunications provider used our tool to track carbon savings equivalent to hundreds of tonnes of CO₂ by switching to buying refurbished hardware. Another partner, reselling surplus equipment, not only reduced emissions but also increased asset value, demonstrating that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand.

Empowering customers through environmental reporting

We collaborate closely with our customers to assess and enhance their sustainability practices. Through detailed impact assessments and guidance on meeting key environmental targets, we ensure businesses can track their progress and align operations with global sustainability standards.

Our robust reporting tools provide actionable insights, enabling customers to demonstrate measurable progress toward a greener future.

Impact

At TXO, our approach is built on five core impact investing principles: transparency, accountability, sustainability, innovation, and community impact. These guide our KPI reporting and drive measurable, positive change for our clients, communities, and the environment.

To assess our environmental impact, we track KPIs such as products repaired and recycled, carbon emissions avoided, and waste diverted from landfill. In 2025 we recycled 10,244 tonnes of e-waste and diverted it from landfill, while also processing and repairing 13,700 products.
