The Huawei DBS3900 is a Distributed Base Station for use in the Radio Access Network (RAN) of the mobile operators network and can be repaired within our repair centre. It comprises two main elements which are the Base Band Unit or BBU 3900 and the Radio or RF elements which are known as RRU or Remote Radio Units. This follows the contemporary model followed by other manufactures whereby the radio modules are no longer mounted inside the cabinet as in the GSM and WCDMA eras for reasons of reduced loss.
The two elements are connected together using a protocol known as CPRI (Common Public Radio Interface) which are optical connections.
Our repair centre provides a repair, test and screen service for the cards belonging to the BBU 3900 system this includes power modules such as UPEU and Fans. The main functions of the BBU 3900 are interaction between the BTS and BSC / RNC, clock and synchronisation and overall system management.
