In the latest instalment of our Life at TXO interview series, we get to know more about Victoria Shergold (aka Vicky) – our Sales Support Coordinator. It’s people like Vicky, across our teams worldwide, who work tirelessly to keep your network up to speed with as little hassle as possible.

So let’s get into the questions…

When did you join TXO and can you describe your typical week?

After a year of varied and unfulfilling employment elsewhere, I joined TXO in September 2018. TXO was like a breath of fresh air to me – I was welcomed and felt right at home from the get-go. A typical week for me… well there’s not enough space here! I can go from one call to another throughout the day, speaking to customers and colleagues, answering questions and sorting out problems. I can be loading orders for account managers, and helping them with their work. Dealing with other departments on shipping or finance queries – the list is endless but always enjoyable and I love helping others to achieve their potential and provide a positive outcome for our customers.

How has your career progressed since working at TXO?

I started as a Sales Support Admin Assistant but was promoted to Sales Support Coordinator after 1 year. Since Lisa our Sales Operations Manager has gone on maternity leave I have been filling in for her taking on some of her responsibilities – which has been interesting and eye opening to say the least!

What do you like about working at TXO?
  1. The people I work with – they are what makes TXO the company that it is
  2. Varied jobs throughout each day – makes life interesting!
  3. Our company values and the fact that TXO cares about the environment as well as its employees
What is it that you love about what we do?

I love that TXO helps keep the world connected, which has been even more important over the last 18 months.

If you were our CEO for the day, what one change would you bring about?

I would let people bring their pets into work, on a rota basis of course – can’t have dogs and cats running riot and as long as they are friendly. I am sure this would brighten everyone’s day and make us all feel relaxed.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

I am a qualified swimming teacher.

What’s your favourite flavour crisps?

I am a plain old ready salted girl (am I allowed to say McCoy’s are my favourite?!)

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?

Being a taxi service for my daughter, running around after a new puppy and generally pottering around at home being the domestic goddess I am.

Which of our brand values resonates with you the most? And why?

All of our values really – we care about the environment which is so relevant at present, we care about each other and our customers – we value trust and transparency which is key in my book.

Thank you, Vicky for always being a good sport and being a part of our Life at TXO series. If you’d like to connect with Vicky, check out her LinkedIn pageKeep your eyes peeled for more interviews with the rest of our team coming soon.
